3" Philodendron Giganteum Starter
Philodendrons are popular houseplants known for their lush foliage, ease of care, and ability to thrive in various indoor conditions. With many different species and varieties, Philodendrons can add a tropical feel to any space. These can range from beginner to experienced care, common to very rare. Philodendrons can be climbers or crawlers, while some will want a moss pole or plank to grow up for support and rooting purposes and the other half will want long planters to crawl along the bottom of the planter as they would crawl along the jungle floors.
Bright, Indirect Light: Philodendrons prefer bright, indirect sunlight but can tolerate lower light conditions. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, so a spot with filtered light is ideal.
Moderate Watering: Water your Philodendron when the top inch of soil feels dry. It’s important not to overwater, as this can lead to root rot. Watering thoroughly every 7 days.
Starter Plants Self-rooting in moss is a fantastic method for encouraging new plant growth. Place your plant in a bed of moss until the roots fill the moss and begin to emerge from the container's drainage holes. Once you've achieved sufficient root development, it’s time to gently transfer your thriving rooted moss ball and plant into a larger pot filled with quality soil. This step will allow your plant to continue growing and thriving in its new environment, providing it with the space and nutrients it needs to flourish.
